ABCya
Found this really cute, fun, and great website for reading and math practice through Mrs. Bickston who teaches first grade at our school. The great thing about this website is it offers reading and math practice through 5th grade!!! Once your child masters the kindergarten games, you can move them to the next grade level games to practice. Check it out here!

Bath Time Learning Fun!
Tonight while Logan was taking a bath I remembered we hadn't practiced word wall words. So I found some bath foam in the bottom of the cabinet (shaving cream will work also). We practiced writing word wall words on the side of the tub with his bath foam. He loved practicing this way! This is another easy and fun way for you to practice word wall words, letter/number formation, and name writing as part of your normal routine.
If you look closely, you can see where Logan wrote "am" in the foam.

Home School Connections
I found this blog Kindergarten for Teachers and Parents while reading some of my favorite teacher blogs. If you click on the title above, it will take you to a blog post with ideas to specifically practice your child's name, however, you could use the same ideas to practice word wall words, alphabet formation and recognition as well as number formation and recognition. 10-15 minutes of practice at home makes a huge difference in the long run.
