We reviewed following picture directions by reviewing our morning routine procedures. We practiced the routine, charted the steps, and took pictures for our anchor chart. Then I placed a picture recipe on the screen; the students followed the directions to create love bug cookies.
We then added our pictures to our morning routine anchor chart; then we practiced our routine again. Then students followed pictorial directions to build structures with their partner using wooden blocks.
We read Building a House. Then students wrote/drew picture directions for how to build a house.
